Dr Hany Ibrahim is an Advanced Laparoscopic & General Surgeon, and Endoscopist. Currently he consults across Brisbane, with offices Sunnybank Private Hospital and Bay Medical Specialists in Capalaba. He operates at Sunnybank Private Hospital and is also a Consultant Surgeon Staff Specialist at Logan Hospital.
Dr Ibrahim's mission is to provide the best care to his patients, with the same honesty and commitment that he expects his own family to receive.
Special interests include Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, bowel surgery, emergency surgery, thyroid surgery, pilonidal sinus surgery, haemorrhoid surgery and melanoma/skin cancers surgery.
Dr Ibrahim is accredited by the Conjoint Committee (GESA) for upper endoscopies and colonoscopies and a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia. He extended his training in France at the University of Strasbourg where he obtained his diploma degree in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery and endoscopies in 2014.
Dr Ibrahim has an active interest in research and has multiple publications and presentations at National and International conferences. Dr Ibrahim is also a Senior Associate Lecturer at University of Queensland, and was awarded by the University of Queensland Faculty of Medicine as “Distinguished Academic Title Holder” for 2017.
